BY CAROLINE GREEN | WARLOCK MEDIA
August, 18, 2025

Warlock Media turns the Big 6!

On this day, we invite you to check out the image above of our fearless leader, Caroline Green, entering a natural sea tunnel, beneath Tintagel Castle, in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom.

Additional scenes (below) shot by Warlock Media of Tintagel + Tintagel Beach, home of several caves, one of which is believed to be where Merlin lived, the warlock for which we are named.

Location:
Merlin’s Cave,
Tintagel Haven  / Merlins Cove,
Tintagel

Like stepping into the mouth of a cavern, we walk into the year ahead with a multitude of unknowns at our feet; with some darkness engulfed in what is immediately ahead, but also with a glimpse of light to what is on the other side.

The number 6 is said to represent intuition.️

“The Sixth Sense,” is a sensory instinct within us that helps to guide us through our lives where we all pass through a series of lessons.

With that said, we’d like to offer you 6 x lessons that we’ve learned over the course of the last 6 Years in conducting business that had our “Spidey Senses” tingling.

Know Your Worth + Set Boundaries + Stick To Them - Warlock Media Lessons

Lesson # 1

Know Your Worth

Setting your rates can be a tricky task, especially in the beginning stages
of embarking on the path of freelancing / starting a business that offers
products / services in exchange for pay.

Consider your experience and skill set.

Research your market and competition.

Set competitive rates.

Negotiate effectively and communicate your worth.

Decline with confidence.

Politely acknowledge and reject lowball offers.

Most importantly,
take care to never work for free.

Lesson # 2

Set Boundaries
+ Stick to Them

Boundaries are an essential piece of any healthy relationship,
whether in business, or otherwise.

Be sure to know your limits and remain strong in your ability to use the word,
“no,” when you feel it’s necessary.

Self-awareness is self care.

Being conscious of when you are stretched too thin
is crucial to your productivity and your mental health.

Additionally,
knowing when to step away from blatant disrespect
and abusive situations is a power move.

Time is Money - Communication is Key - Warlock Media Lessons

Lesson #3

Time is Money

“Every Second Counts,”
– The Bear, FXP

Respect people’s time, including your own.

In relation to both yourself and your clients, be cognizant of how you’re conducting
your time and timeliness from your daily tasks, to your communications, to your projects.

For yourself,
keep in mind that perfectionism can hinder progress; finished is better than perfect.

For your pitch,
less is more; as Shakespeare said, “brevity is the soul of wit.”

For your work,
without the sacrifice for quality control, the more efficient you are able to become,
the happier your clients will be, and the more time you’ll be able to offer
to securing additional jobs.

Lesson #4

Communication
is Key

Communication breakdown is a root cause of grief when dealing with others,
especially in business, leading to project failures,
workplace conflicts, and productivity deficits.

2/4 of, ‘The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom,’
by Don Miguel Ruiz speak to this:

“Be impeccable with your word,”
and,
“Don’t make assumptions”.

Expressing oneself with absolute clarity and exchanging all necessary information
on a given topic will often avoid misunderstandings, errors, resentment, and frustration.

Writing and Receipts + Failure is Progress - Warlock Media Lessons

Lesson #5

Writing
+ Receipts

Trusting in verbal communications for contractual agreements and
day-to-day business proceedings is not wise.

Emphasize on the engagement – no matter how close you may think you are
with the person you are embarking on a venture with – put it in writing.

Create contracts for your clients detailing your agreements and have them date + sign.

This provides a clear record of what was agreed upon
and allows you to have a document to fall back on to prevent future
misunderstandings or disputes.

If you can’t create some sort of a signed deal memo,
be as concise as possible in all written communications
(texts, emails, letters, etc.) to detail the communications.

On a daily basis:
Write. Everything Down.

Have you ever had a restaurant server take your order by memory
just to result in zero accuracy?

Let that be a lesson.

Take notes on your conversations and to-dos.

Ensure that you are sending out detailed emails/texts with the proper,
“Who, What, When, Where, and Why.” in the body in order to easily backtrack.

The “Search” function and keyword are your friends.

Relying on your memory is not a flex, its foolish.

Lesson #6

Failure
is Progress

Remember that old cowboy cliché,
“if you fall of the horse,
get back on”?

Well, it’s true.

Each fall builds character and strength.

Each mount builds wisdom at length.

“It’s legendary to be afraid and do it anyway.
There is no such thing as failure when you try.”
– Miley Cyrus,
Disney Legend Award speech.
